A Roanoke native, Jennifer Fowler received her B.F.A. in Studio Art from James Madison University in 2003. She later received a Masters in Teaching from Hollins University. Jennifer currently teaches Ceramics, Painting and Printmaking, and Art Foundations at Patrick Henry High School. She is currently serving as a board member for The Arts Council of the Blue Ridge. In January she will begin a two year term as President for the Southwest Virginia Art Education Association.
Despite a B.F.A. emphasis in Photography, through experimentation and little formal training, Jennifer has grown a deep love of various printmaking processes. Her work is often more about the process than the subject matter. She loves to explore the medium and process to let it decide the outcome. Jennifer also dabbles in pottery, photography, and painting.
